The GWC is a municipally owned water and wastewater utility that has been serving our community since 1937. Glasgow Water Company supplies water to approximately 20,000 customer connections and 5 regional water utilities.

Our Water

The GWC is the 10th largest water utility in the State of Kentucky among nearly 450 utilities. The GWC has a service area encompassing 444 square miles that serves the City of Glasgow, Barren County, and portions of Allen County and Edmonson County.

The GWC maintains over 900 miles of water mains serving  nearly 20,000 water customers and over 150 miles of sewer mains serving 7,200 wastewater customers. The GWC also provides wholesale water service to five surrounding utilities including the City of Edmonton (Metcalfe County), Allen County Water District, Fountain Run Water District, Caveland Environmental Authority, Green River Valley Water District. On average GWC operations distribute over 3.1 billion gallons of water and treats over 1.1 billion gallons of waste water annually.
